ALANA

Yoga Teacher

Meet Alana, a woman who grew up in the South West of Sydney as a child, Alana struggled to fit into school and the structured environment that it provided. However, she found solace in the emotional outlets of dancing, piano, and drawing.

At the age of 16, she suffered two devastating losses – her best friend and her father. These losses led to destructive behavior and unhealthy relationships, but her passion for dance and art helped her to get through these tough times.

Alana became a dance teacher, but still felt unfulfilled. After being medicated and feeling numb she turned to yoga to help cope with the stresses of life.

It was during a teacher training course in Ubud that Alana’s life changed. She dived deeper into yoga studies, bodywork, anatomy, meridians, meditation, reiki, tarot, and many other spiritual practices. She discovered that yoga was the one thing that could hold her when no one else could.

Since then, Alana has continued to study and expand her knowledge in the field of yoga and spirituality. She is now a well-respected yoga teacher and has shared her heartfelt gift with the yoga community. Alana’s connection to spirit and her love of self are evident in all that she does, and her journey is an inspiration to others.

HAYLEY

Yoga Teacher

Hayley found in yoga something she hadn’t felt in a long time: stillness, clarity, and connection. After leaving a 15-year career in advertising, a chance invite to the OBH studio led to a daily practice that quickly became her path forward. As she navigated challenges on the mat, she noticed a shift off the mat—more grounding, more grace. Within a year, she completed OBH’s 200HR Teacher Training and started sharing the practice that helped her come home to herself.

Hayley teaches with a strong focus on mindfulness, movement, and breath. Off the mat, she brings yoga into spaces where it’s deeply needed—supporting women at a local centre and offering practices inside high-pressure corporate environments where she once worked.

Her classes are down-to-earth and welcoming, built on presence and purpose. Whether you're new or experienced, Hayley offers a space to slow down, reconnect, and move with awareness.

Michael

Yoga Teacher

Michael comes to Yoga from a long history of body knowledge and practice. Having completed his Bachelor’s in the field of Health Sciences, his understanding of musculoskeletal biomechanics and anatomy has helped people both recover from injury and to find their own version of total human optimisation. After many years of soul searching, Yoga was the scalpel that helped him peel away the seemingly endless layers of meaninglessness. The discovery of ancient teachings showed him that through movement modalities, stillness practices and self-inquiry work that we are all capable of cultivating a life that is driven by purpose and connection. Surfing, Martial Arts and Shamanism are among the many passions that orbit Michael’s life. These practices all have one thing in common; a desire to share, celebrate and investigate the beauty inherently present in this human experience. Through spiritual activism and connection to indigenous wisdom, Michael also enjoys playing his didgeridoo weaving ancient sounds into a modern-day yogic practice.
